On a beautiful sunny Saturday we picked Old City, Philadelphia as a location for Leighanna’s 18th birthday session. We lucked out in so many ways, from arriving right on time at each spot, to having the best light and light crowds in every location. Every time we would get to our next location, felt like the exact right time to be there. She had three different looks, and I think each place complimented her outfits perfectly. This girl, she is so beautiful inside and out, with such an amazing personality. She had me WOWing and smiling the whole time at how fierce and confident, yet humble she is. I loved photographing her, and I hope she loves the outcome as much as I do. It was hard to narrow down from the hundreds of favorites I had, but these just had to be shared, especially the last portrait of her with that wonderful big laugh of hers. Leighanna, I know you’ll do wonderfully in anything that you choose to do, have fun as a senior and work your ass off on the next stage of your life as a college girl! XO.
A few weeks ago I photographed this beautiful family at Longwood Gardens in Kennet Square, PA. I had photographed this couple while they were expecting *the now big brother Lucas* and it was such a pleasure to photograph them again. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.
After having had an incredibly fun session last year with these guys, and even spotting a BALD EAGLE during our session, I thought we could never top it off. Sabrina had seen one of my previous sessions this year at Lorimer Park, which had a family looking down a cliff, and decided that "yep, that's our spot". What a great choice it was for this beautiful/adventurous family. We explored this park like I had never done before. The boys got to climb rocks, run across huge logs, and skip rocks. Honestly, MY FAVORITE type of session. I love an adventurous family! Oh and we even got some portraits in between all the fun. Here are just a few of my favorites.
We got to Pennypack on a late Monday evening. All I could think was, THE SUN IS GONE, what am I going to do? It was getting dark, but we did not give up. How could I give up after seeing this beautiful momma all made up, with her children and husband ready to have a good time with me? So I bumped up my ISO (camera term, I'm a geek) and looked for the brighter spots at the park. They were just naturals, and within less than an hour I took some of my favorite photographs of fall thus far. Here is their session.
For the past 10 or so years I've had the pleasure of being friends with Daphne and being there for the birth of her 3 daughters. This was Lyra's first official family photo-shoot. I have so much love for this beautiful family and was so excited to photograph them for the "100th" time! (jk) It gets better and better each time I'm with them capturing their growing love.
Not long ago Sabrina posted a message in a forum in which I am a member (and ABSOLUTELY love btw), introducing herself and talking about her newest move from Texas to Philadelphia. When I saw this I quickly messaged her giving her a warm welcome as I know how hard it is to move into a new place without knowing anyone. I instantly adored her. Sabrina is a super sweet and cool momma, we started talking and in a couple of days we decided we would be doing a family session of her and her awesome/beautiful family.
I thought I'd show them my FAVORITE park in Philadelphia, because I knew we would have a great time with her kids since it is a place where my girls LOVE visiting. And a great time we had! We took a stroll around the park and explored a bit, we saw swans, geese, (questions about fish were asked), and at the end to tie it all up we even spotted a bald eagle which is nesting on one of the tallest trees in the park. I could not have wished for a more perfect day. I'm so glad to have met this wonderful family I hope they enjoy the photos as much as I do!!!
I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous family during golden hour at a playground/park in Pennsauken, NJ. It was such a perfect day, with perfect weather and "yummy" summer light. They melted my heart with their love and connection. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect time. I'm so excited to share this session and I know I say this every time, but can you blame me for saying that this is MY FAVORITE session of all times?! Every client is so special to me but this family is SUPER special because I've been photographing them since her first pregnancy almost 8 years ago. So many years have gone by and she stuck by me. I'm so glad to call her a friend and to be able to photograph her beautiful family.
On a Sunday afternoon (more like evening), The A family took me to this wonderful park that I had never heard about before. This amazing place is called Curtis Hall Arboretum, only 20 minutes away from Northeast Philadelphia. I was so happy they took me here (new photo spot). They are naturals, I snapped away as they walked around just being the amazing family that they are. They are so in tune and in love with each other it's beautiful to watch. The family of 4 is expecting another little sister due in a few weeks. I cannot wait to welcome and photograph their third daughter. You will see these little faces a lot more for sure.
I'd love to photograph your beautiful family. You can contact me here.
Fresh 48 sessions are done on the first 48 once the baby is born. It is one of my favorite type of sessions to do and so when Alejandra and Gus had their baby Lucas I was so excited to get to photograph them. Lucas A. Souza was born on May 18th of 2015. Such a cute boy with small features, everyone was immediately in love with him, including me. I loved visiting Lucas and being able to photograph the new parents while they drooled over him. What an amazing thing it is to receive a new life into the family and Lucas is the first son of Aleja & Gus. I am so happy for them! Congratulations to the new parents!
