I had a wonderful time photographing the beautiful Kissila in downtown Philadelphia this past Sunday evening. 15 is such a special age for a Brazilian girl, and we decided to shoot her photos at a place she had never been to. We ended up arriving right before sunset, but the sun decided to hide from us. And even though I was dreaming of sunny sunset photos, I still loved the outcome of the overcast/late day. She is such a beauty and so great with the camera as you will see bellow. I loved her choice of wardrobe for this early fall scenery.
On a beautiful sunny Saturday we picked Old City, Philadelphia as a location for Leighanna’s 18th birthday session. We lucked out in so many ways, from arriving right on time at each spot, to having the best light and light crowds in every location. Every time we would get to our next location, felt like the exact right time to be there. She had three different looks, and I think each place complimented her outfits perfectly. This girl, she is so beautiful inside and out, with such an amazing personality. She had me WOWing and smiling the whole time at how fierce and confident, yet humble she is. I loved photographing her, and I hope she loves the outcome as much as I do. It was hard to narrow down from the hundreds of favorites I had, but these just had to be shared, especially the last portrait of her with that wonderful big laugh of hers. Leighanna, I know you’ll do wonderfully in anything that you choose to do, have fun as a senior and work your ass off on the next stage of your life as a college girl! XO.
You’re officially old when you photograph a girl, whom you remember picking up as a baby. I remember Melanie as a young kid running around my aunt’s house and being the cutest and sweetest little girl. So evidently it was a great pleasure to photograph her now, as a beautiful, and confident teen. With the current winter weather, we opted for Longwood Gardens in order to have her photos done before her birthday party. The current displays at Longwood Gardens are absolutely gorgeous. We were in awe of the amazing quantity and assortments of orchids now in display. It is an amazing place to have a 16th birthday photoshoot, firstly because of the gorgeous scenario, and secondly because of the warmth. We were able to walk along the Gardens with not even sweaters on right in the middle of winter. I was so excited to edit these photos, and to share them with Mel. Now we will be on the countdown for Melanie’s party, which luckily will be in spring. I can’t wait to see you celebrate with your friends Mel, and capture your special day!
A gloomy fall day at Longwood Gardens, with the type of weather you like to stay home for, but you wouldn't even guess. I loved photographing this super cute family of four a week before it was decorated for Christmas. Such a great way to say goodbye to autumn 2017!
I love doing these mini portrait sessions, especially when the family is so easy on the eyes as these folks. I've photographed them many times before and each year we feel more relaxed and ready to get things started. This year we didn't make it for spring photos, but I was so glad to capture them in this beautiful fall setting. The leaves turned 'literally' the night before for their photos. I had been to the same park 2 days before and it was so bland and green. What a happy surprise it was to see it looking this 'fallish'!
It was the windiest and coldest of days here in the east coast. We were all very glad to have planned this session at the cozy, warm and beautiful gardens of Longwood Gardens. Usually the gardens are pretty busy, with lots of crowds going about admiring the amazing scenes provided all year long. Due to the "bad" weather outdoors, not many people were present this day. We lucked out big time. Here are a few of my favorites from this session.
